Trump regarded Lord Bannside as a legend! thumbnailPresident elect Trump with former North Antrim MP, the late Lord Bannside, at Trump Tower in New York some years ago.

I make it my business to promote and exploit the opportunities and contacts that I come across for the interest of my constituents.
I believe all politicians should be doing this. Most prefer to scoff and criticise. Some take action I like to think I am one that takes actions that are beneficial for the community.
There is a saying in business that you have got to keep swinging the bat and eventually you will hit a ball.
I agree with that philosophy. That it's important to push at every opportunity because who knows one day something may come of it.
When I first met Donald Trump and his team in NYC 10 years ago, a lesser person would have quit because that early meeting did not lead to an immediate investment in the initial project.
But no, I took the opportunity to continue that relationship with Donald Trump and his team because one day I know it may be useful. I think today I can say that was worth waiting for.
