Just a little off the ‘tap’ thumbnailAt the Northern Star Bar on High St a charity hair cut in aid of MacMillan Cancer Care with stylist Olivia Laverty of the Barber Shop, the victim Paul Farley and proprietor Julie Woods.

LOCAL MAN Paul Farley proved he was 'a cut above the rest' when he volunteered to have his head shaved for the Northern Stars fundraising efforts.
The Northern Star Bar on Linenhall Street has been fundraising since April this year in aid of Macmillan Cancer, and Paul was the latest to volunteer in their efforts.
Julie Woods, owner of the bar explained: "Our brave the shave volunteer was our regular Paul. He heard about our fundraising efforts and wanted to help so we held an event last Friday afternoon, during which Paul got his head shaved by Stylist Olivia Laverty.
“There was quite a lot of people in the bar for the event, the place was absolutely bunged.
“The money raised is going to be donated to the McMillan Cancer Nurses."
So far their efforts has accumulated an impressive £1705.
“The fund-raising is something we have spent the past seven months working on. We also have a parachute jump coming up in the new year to help us reach our fund-raising target of £2000," added Julie.
