A MOTHER has entered not guilty pleas to charges connected to her son being accused of death by dangerous driving after two young people died and others were injured in a crash which stunned County Antrim.
Sharon Kinney (50), of Drones Road, Armoy, appeared in the dock for her arraignment at Antrim Crown Court on Tuesday to deny two charges linked to the horrific collision near Ballycastle at Easter 2015.
She is charged with intent to pervert the course of justice by removing a Volkswagen Golf from Carrickmore Road, Ballycastle, on April 6 last year.
She is also accused of conspiring with her husband Kevin Kinney (52) and son Shane Kinney (22) - they are all of the same address - between April 6-10, 2015, with intent to pervert the course of justice by concealing and repairing damage caused to the car which had allegedly been involved in an accident at Cushendall Road, Ballycastle, on April 6.
She appeared in the dock in front of Judge Desmond Marrinan and her trial is due to take place in March. She has been released on continuing bail.
