Litter ‘morons’ blasted thumbnail

A LOCAL man has blasted the 'morons' who litter and fly-tip their rubbish along our lovely rural roads, claiming the countryside is being destroyed as a result.
For Stranocum resident Geoff McAuley nothing has improved one year on from when he discovered a dead calf dumped at the road side in April 2016 and brought his story to The Chronicle.
Still he is 'dismayed' at the great amount of rubbish that he finds discarded, including dead animals.
In response a Causeway Coast and Glens Council have litter picked the Clintyfinnan Road, where Mr McAuley said it was particularly bad, adding that they will continue to monitor the area.
