Brutal burglary condemned thumbnail

DISGUST has been expressed at the 'vile' attack on an elderly couple in Donaghbrook Drive, Ballymoney last Monday evening (April 10).
During the incident, a man in his 70's was struck on the head by masked men, who then tied him and his wife to chairs before making off with a substantial sum of money.
Describing the attack as an "aggravated burglary," Detective Constable Brennan appealed for witnesses to come forward.
DC Brennan said: "At approximately 9.40pm, 3 armed and masked men entered a house where a man in his 70s and his wife were inside. The man was struck on the head by one of his assailants. He received medical treatment at hospital and has since been released.
