Stolen goods recovered from River Bush thumbnail

POLICE have said that goods recovered from the River Bush last Wednesday night, initially thought to be arms or ammunition, was property suspected to have been stolen in a recent burglary.
UUP Alderman Norman Hillis who sits on Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council was at the scene when divers trailed the river and removed a number of items.
He said after watching police remove what looked like a tool box or a large box, he believed initial reports that arms or ammunition had been found.
Speaking to The Chronicle after the incident he said: "I would congratulate police for their quick action in keeping the people of Bushmills safe.
