THE McKeown father and son charity cycling team are back in training for their gruelling annual 100 mile charity bike ride in London at the end of July.
For the fifth time retired vet David McKeown and optician son Brian will take part in the Ride 100 event along a route made famous by the London Olympics.
Brian is raising money for Guide Dogs for the Blind, whilst David is cycling for the Samaritans.
Brian said: "Last year we raised over £1000 for our two charities, dad is raising money for Samaritans, as he has done the last 3 years. It's a charity he has done some volunteering for and so it's very close to his heart. This year we're aiming for a similar target of £500 each."
The father and son team train together, getting out a couple of times a week.
“We are getting on very well in our training, especially with the good weather. We're lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world which makes the cycling a lot easier.
