Friends join forces for good cause thumbnail

A CHARITY trek organised by three friends that will take them through one of Europe's most picturesque countries has raised thousands of pounds for one of the poorest corners of Africa.
James Mills from Ballycastle, and Mark Wallace from Ballymena, have spent the past eighteen months planning - and training - for the fundraiser under the watchful eye of Irwin Holmes - a mountain climber from Ballymoney who has some twenty five years' experience in the field.
The trio head to Austria at the end of June where they will climb three of its biggest peaks, the tallest of which - Grober Galtenberg - stands almost eight thousand feet above sea level.
