Keeping Pauline’s memory alive thumbnail

THE memory of a much-loved midwife at Coleraine's Causeway Hospital will live on at a fundraising event in her home town this weekend.
Almost a year after Pauline Gawne's passing, her family and friends will be rallying support for two causes close to their hearts on Sunday (June 25).
Proceeds from 'Pauline's Pudding Party' in Ramoan Parish Centre, Ballycastle, will go towards Cancer Research and providing a sanctuary for bereaved parents in the Causeway's maternity unit.
Mum-of-four Pauline, who lived in Coleraine, lost her battle for life at Dalriada Hospital in Ballycastle on June 28 last year. Born and bred in Ballycastle, the 53-year-old was laid to rest in Ramoan Parish Churchyard.
Her sister Rosemary McCormick said: "Although Pauline lived in Coleraine, she never forgot her Ballycastle roots."
