A BALLYMONEY schoolgirl has donated 120 worth of food to her local Foodbank after raising funds from creating home-made bracelets and keyrings.
Kiera McIlveen, a P7 pupil at Lislagan Primary School, started selling home-made embroidered bracelets and keyrings to her classmates and soon realised she could help charity and have fun at the same time!
The young entrepreneur's creations soon took off and in no time at all she had raised 120 for her chosen charity.
Explaining that she wanted to give back to her local community, Kiera said she couldn't believe how popular her creations were and the amount of money she raised. Kiera said: "Before I left Lislagan, I really wanted to do something for charity. I started to make bracelets with hearts and flowers on them and keyrings from crisp packets. It was loads of fun making them and all my friends really liked them."
