THE daughter of a well known Ballymoney photographer is offering thousands of local married couples the opportunity to get the negatives of their special wedding pictures in return for a donation to the Alzheimer's Society.
John Young, of Henry Street, who had this terrible disease, passed away on January 7 this year.
He covered thousands of weddings across Ballymoney, Ballycastle, Coleraine and wider afield during a career that spanned more than three decades.
Since then, daughter Laura, moved by the terrible effect this disease had on him, especially towards the end of his life, has organised a number of fundraising events.
Laura told the Chronicle, "My dad John Young was a wedding photographer from the 1970s based at Henry Street in the town. He retired around 10 years ago and passed away on January 7 this year at the age of 75.
