‘Heart ripped out of us’ thumbnail

A MEMBER of Killyrammer Community Association has said that a Causeway Coast and Glens Council decision to close their community hall has "ripped the heart out of us."
Tracy Bartlett added that it will be the "end of the association" and "there will be no more events in the hall" if the decision is implemented.
The report that prompted Leisure and Development Committee (L&DC) councillors to recommend closure on Tuesday June 13, concluded that the hall was "poorly used".
It also said there was "no evidence of demand for new or improved community space as most current activity takes place in the local church halls and local Orange Hall."
Expressing her disappointment Tracy said: "We don't want the hall to close. It will be the end of the community association, if we don't have a hall, how can we have a community association? It has ripped the heart out of us.
