Riverside upgrade ‘urgently needed’ thumbnail

UPGRADE work at Riverside Park in Ballymoney needs to commence as a matter of urgency, a local councillor told last week's Causeway Coast and Glens Environmental Services meeting.
DUP councillor Ian Stevenson claimed there is "a difference of night and day" between Riverside Park and the People's Park in Ballymena with "nettles growing over paths" and "weeds growing left right and centre."
Three other Ballymoney councillors also raised concerns, with the Director of Environmental Services, Mr Aidan McPeake, agreeing to UUP Cllr Darryl Wilson's request for a site meeting.
DUP Cllr Ian Stevenson initially asked the Director, Mr Aiden McPeake, for an update on Riverside, one of the 10 Capital Schemes being progressed by council across the borough.
