THE GRANDDAD of a Ballymoney boy who caught his first salmon with his first cast has hailed his achievement as 'one in a million'.
Young Adam Bustard made his amazing catch at Carnroe last Thursday after going down there with his dad Alastair to watch granddad Ernie, who regularly fishes there with his friends.
The delighted 11 year old, who will be starting Ballycastle High school at the beginning of September, had only ever received a bit of 'back garden' casting tuition from Ernie, himself a a lifelong fisherman.
Proud dad Alastair said: "We went down to spend a bit of time with his grandfather who gave Adam his rod for an hour. He had done a bit of fly fishing before, but never salmon fishing.
