LOCAL charity activist Pat Crossley is urging everyone to support her as she gears up for her final daredevil fundraising caper as member of the Northern Ireland MS Council.
The 75 year old will abseil 100ft down the side of Belfast Castle on Sunday October 1 to raise money for this worthwhile charity.
Pat, who has been Secretary of the Ballymoney MS for 35 years, said: "I'm very excited and looking forward to it. I don't think I'm too nervous, I don't know how I'll feel when I'm on the edge looking over.
“But I did a sky dive a few years ago so perhaps something like that."
“I'm just back from a visit to the War Graves in France and what I am doing is nothing compared to those young men who went over the top to fight for the freedom that I now enjoy."
Pat had originally hoped to abseil down the Shard, in London, but that hadn't been possible.
“Belfast Castle isn't a second best," she said, "I was brought up in north Belfast, and studied at Belfast Royal Academy and going up there on a Sunday afternoon was one of our favourite walks."
