BENVARDIN Kennels in Derrykeighan was vandalised in the early hours of Sunday September 3, with severe damage being caused.
Benvardin have said that the damage was done by a farm tele handler with the whole incident being caught on CCTV.
Speaking to charity co-ordinator Shaun McIntyre, he said that the charity is "devastated" with the damage done to the kennels and does not know the motivation behind the damage.
“This is a totally random act of vandalism where someone obviously went out of their way to do harm.
“We'll have to upgrade everything, it'll cost us hundreds of pounds.
"As a charity, we cannot understand why someone would want to target a organisation such as an animal shelter."
Benvardin Kennels issued the following statement, urging the public to contact with the charity and police if they have any information.
