A BENDOORAGH mum has shared her experience of the help and support she received from Coleraine Family Support Group when daughter Rosabelle was diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease.
Chloe Hemphill is one of many parents in the community who has greatly benefited from Coleraine Family Support Group.
She told the Chronicle about her daughter's Congenital Heart Disease condition and how the organisation has provided her with much-needed support.
Chloe explained: "Our family is no stranger to Congenital Heart Disease as my sister had a heart transplant when she was only 11 years old.
“ When Rosabelle was born, I recognised the symptoms such as low birth weight, her failure to put on weight and she was always becoming ill. Even a cold could put her in hospital.
“One day, we in the supermarket and she took ill and started to be sick. I took her out to the car and she was unconscious by the time we got there.
“The ambulance had to resuscitate her in the car park. When we got to the Causeway Hospital, they couldn't stabilise her so she was then rushed up to Antrim Area Hospital to the special care baby unit.
