A CLOUGHMILLS resident has blasted the way the new Frosses Road dual carriageway near Logans is being used a 'Grand Prix' circuit by joy riders.
Whilst local Sinn Fein Cllr Cathal McLaughlin, has expressed disappointment with police, claiming that they are not getting on top of the situation, despite being contacted repeatedly over the matter.
Speaking to the Chronicle yesterday (Monday) The Cloughmills man, who did not wish to be named, said: "This is the forth or fifth Sunday night in a row we've heard loud cars revving their engines and speeding up and down the A26.
“This Sunday the noise on the road was like something from the Grand Prix."
The man claims that up to a dozen cars queue up to rally up and down the carriageway, using the Lisnasoo Road and the Drumadoon Road flyovers to create a 'circuit'.
