Sinn Fein councillor Cathal McLaughlin said that it was a waste of police time to be calling to his door for a tener, after the person forgot to pay.
However a Cloughmills shop owner has praised the Forecourt Watch Scheme, saying that without it they would lose a lot of money.
Cllr McLaughlin said that on Friday October 20 a member his family pulled up at the forecourt of Moore's shop on Main Street, Cloughmills, got 10 of petrol, and afterwards went around the shop getting groceries.
