A DISTRESSED Ballymoney resident has called for the brakes to be put on 'boy racers' who are making their lives a misery.
The resident, who originally contacted the Chronicle in July earlier this year over disruptive driving in and around the Milltown Road and Milltown Service Station area, said the same problem continues to "keep residents up to all hours at night" and has fears for the safety of his child.
He also said that as much as Milltown Service Station has made the positive move to install ramps to stop speeding, "no progress has been made whatsoever."
However, Milltown Service Station owner Crawford Henderson said that his business is doing "all that we can" to fix the problem.
The resident said, "The racers are still there most nights disrupting the area. The problem has been ongoing since January 2017 and I appreciate that positive moves have been made but unfortunately, there has been no real progress. The constant revving of engines, exhaust noises and drivers flying in and out, doing donuts around the forecourt, is completely unacceptable.
