Praise for cafe culture

Thursday, 28 December 2017

BALLYMONEY'S town centre has won praise for its friendliness and unique atmosphere in a survey commissioned by the council.
More positive seasonal news was how the town's cafe culture and lighting also scored highly among both the public and traders.
The survey was conducted earlier this year as part of an evaluation of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council's retail and leisure offer.
Its findings will help officials draw up the next Local Development Plan which provides a framework for planners who will be assessing applications.
The town centre reports were compiled on the borough's six biggest settlements; Ballymoney, Limavady, Ballycastle, Coleraine, Portrush and Portstewart.
When members of the public and businesses were questioned on positive aspects of the town centre, Ballymoney fared well in the friendliness table, with Ballycastle in pole position and Coleraine faring worst.
