A WELL installed by Ballymoney Christian charity Drop Inn Ministries, has been named in honour of Sandra Lindsay, who sadly passed away in 2016.
Back in September, Ballymoney Drop Inn Ministries manager Edwina Chambers, renewed her appeal to the people of Ballymoney to help and donate money towards drilling wells in the parched country of Burkina Faso in Africa, which in the past has experienced severe droughts and famines.
Now, a plaque for the well has been unveiled, which is named in memory of Sandra, a friend and previous volunteer of Ballymoney Drop Inn Ministries.
Edwina said: "Sandra's favourite bible story was 'The woman at the well', and what is more fitting than that one of the two wells is now known as 'Sandra's well'."
She continued: "A big thank you to Reverend Lindsay and the family for their support, donations , in lieu of the flowers received. The well will make such a big difference and will benefit thousands of people in an area of parched land, where there was no clean water or suitable ground to grow crops."
Two wells are now in place and are changing the lives of the people who live in the area by having access to clean water.
