Tributes paid to ‘Mr Ballymoney’ thumbnail'Mr Ballymoney' Ollie Muldoon.

WARM tributes have been paid to former Ballymoney United player, manager, chairman and president Ollie Muldoon following his death last week.
Father of two Ollie (75), commonly referred to as 'Mr Ballymoney', had given a lifetime's service to the football club.
During his 50 year association, Ollie helped put the north Antrim town on the footballing map, establishing United as one of the foremost clubs in the intermediate ranks.
In a golden period as manager from the mid seventies to mid-eighties, Ollie led the team to unprecedented success, winning seven out of nine trophies available.
In later years he took on the role of chairman and most latterly president until ill health prevented him from attending matches.
News of his passing prompted many touching tributes on social media, with Ballymoney Utd club member John Fall claiming Ollie's contribution would never be forgotten.
“What a servant he has been to the club," said John.
