A NUMBER of local charities have received a donation from Ballymoney's 'Black Santa' Liam Beckett after another record Christmas sit out raised just over 11,200.
Liam presented cheques to the good causes at a reception hosted by the Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Councillor Joan Baird OBE recently.
Liam thanked everyone involved, both individuals and organisations. Many had saved their pocket money over the year. Organisations such as Roadside Garages, Triangle Housing, Morelli's, Sarah Shoes held special events. Many ascended to Ballymoney from all parts to Northern Ireland to support Black Santa.
“There are too many to name but big thanks to all," he said.
This is the second year that the Rotary Club of Ballymoney have supported Black Santa as part of their Tree of Remembrance.
