A TALENTED Dunloy teenager has reached an impressive milestone after he completed his 100th glider flight on Saturday February 24.
Sean Scullion, 15, from Dunloy, made his family proud as he completed his 100th solo glider flight over the picturesque Binevenagh mountain and back down into the Ulster Gliding Club (UGC) airfield in Bellarena.
Proud dad Gavin Scullion told The Chronicle. "We are so proud of Sean for completing such an impressive milestone. He has continued to pursue his gliding and is getting more confident each time he flies. He is working towards his bronze gliding certificate through the British Gliding Association, so we're just so proud of everything he has achieved so far."
Gavin said that the weather conditions were a "little breezy" but Sean managed to battle the elements well.
“The weather conditions were a little bit breezy, but he managed to get the last flight of the day and it was a perfect flight. He did a fantastic job. It was a very cold day so I would like to thank all the staff at the gliding club for helping us out on what was a fantastic day!"
