Cash windfall for Meadow

ROYAL Portrush Golf Club member Stephanie Meadow is to receive 20,000 Euros in grant funding from Sport Ireland.
The talented golfer is among 12 professionals to share 130,000 Euros.
"It is incumbent on Team Ireland to focus on these young players and our ambition ios to help them progress on to the main professional tours," explained the leader of Team Ireland Golf, Des Smyth.
"Playing on the professional tour is not cheap and we are trying to help these players make the grade."
Players such as Shane Lowry, Paul Dunne and Michael Hoey have benefitted from grants support in the past.
