Nine new jobs at 'enhanced' Lidl store thumbnailLidl has confirmed that nine new jobs are to be created in Ballymoney. SPB20-60

SUPERMARKET  chain Lidl has confirmed that nine new jobs are to be created in Ballymoney.
A spokesman for Lidl told the Ballymoney Chronicle that the new, enlarged and enhanced 'concept store' was specifically designed to accommodate increasing local demand for Lidl in Ballymoney and that it expected to recruit an additional nine staff to support its growth in the area.
More than 12 staff are already employed at the current store on Meetinghouse Street, bringing the total employment by Lidl locally to 21 when the new store opens.
We reported last week that Lidl had confirmed submitting proposals to develop a new and enlarged state-of-the-art store in Ballymoney as part of its major investment and growth plans in Northern Ireland.
Designed to provide a high-quality shopping environment with more space, wider aisles, longer tills, rest-rooms and baby-changing facilities, the 'new concept' store will be located at a larger site opposite its existing Meetinghouse Street store in the town centre, which will remain open until the new store is complete.
