Firsts continue winning ways thumbnailBallymoney’s Olivia Mullan breaks through the Lisnagarvey defense to attack the circle, during their Premier League game on Saturday.

BALLYMONEY FIRST XI.............4 LISNAGARVEY...............1

BALLYMONEY First XI made it three wins from three in the league on Saturday with a 4-1 win over Lisnagarvey.
Ballymoney got off to a strong start, moving the ball well and putting pressure on their opponents.
Within the first 10 minutes Ballymoney were awarded a penalty corner which resulted in Ruth Sutherland firing the ball past the keeper giving the home side a 1-0 lead.
Ballymoney continued to pile on pressure with great play from Katherine Gawne down the right hand side and along the base line where she eventually found Nikki Parke who sent the ball into the back of the net.
Ballymoney continued to keep up the intensity but struggled to increase the scoreline with some opportunities being missed.
However, great play from Jess Moore displayed some great play down the left hand side weeding her way into the circle and finding a pass to Rachel Minihan to slot past the keeper giving Ballymoney a 3-0 lead at half-time.
The second half was a different story with Lisnagarvey making some changes and coming out in full force.
This saw the home side under pressure but the defence remained solid to deny Lisnagarvey goals.
