Ballymoney run riot against North Down thumbnailNikki Parke and Olivia Mullan lead a Ballymoney attack into the North Down circle during their Premier League game on Saturday.

BALLYMONEY played North Down in the Premier League on Saturday at the Joey Dunlop Centre.
In spite of freezing temperatures in the days leading up to the match the frost lifted just in time.
Ballymoney started brightly from the first whistle with the first chance coming courtesy of a great ball through to Nikki Parke in the circle. However, the 'keeper was alert and pulled of a great save.
However, Ballymoney didn't have to wait too long for their opener when they were awarded a short corner on the two minute mark. Ruth Sutherland made the most of the opportunity as she unleashed a powerful straight strike from the top of the circle to put Ballymoney one nil up.
North Down pressed high for the remainder of the first half, but Ruth, Bridget and Ellie calmly played some great balls out of defence into midfield. From one of these passes Jan Hamilton capitalised on this as she ran in on goal to double the Toon's lead on the stroke of half time.
