UGP boss expects big things from Lee Johnston thumbnailLee Johnstonís new deal for the 2017 season ends months of speculation about his future.

NEWS that Lee Johnston will fly the flag for Jackson Racing at the Ulster Grand Prix later in the year has been welcomed by the meeting's Clerk of the Course.
The twenty-seven-year old rider is a firm favourite with the fans and by his own admission experienced a less than brilliant season last year. Johnston's problems were compounded last year when he suffered an injury while competing at Scarborough in April with this blighting his chances for the remainder of the road racing campaign.
Speaking after it was announced he would be riding Nicky Hayden's 2016 World Superbike-spec Honda Fireblade on the roads during 2017,he said: "I'm really glad to have my team sorted for 2017 and to have finally announced it after a few months of speculation. I'm really happy with the new team; it's pretty similar to my last team in terms of its size and the way of doing things. I get to have my input into things and I think it's a good fit.
