Seeley to defend Supersport crown thumbnailAlastair Seeley recorded wins number sixteen and seventeen on the Gearlink Kawasaki at last year’s North West 200.

THE most successful rider in North West 200 history is confident of adding to his win count at this year's meeting after penning a fresh deal with Gearlink Kawasaki. Alastair Seeley will target back-to-back Supersport doubles at the 8.9-mile course in May after taking the chequered flag in both races last season riding Kawasaki's ZX-6R.
Seeley has recorded an incredible seventeen victories at the North West 200 and is chasing more during Race Week, which kicks off with timed practice on Tuesday, May 9.
Talks between Gearlink and the 37-year-old have been on-going since November with both parties finally reaching an agreement last week. "I'm pleased the Supersport bikes are sorted," said Seeley, who is currently working on another deal to ride in the British Supersport Championship. "Gearlink is a factory supported outfit so it was a no-brainer for me to approach them and ask, 'Can we not start where we left off last season?'
“If you look at my victories at the North West 200 a large number have come in the Supersport class; it was really important for me to be on the correct bike. The team is great as well. I know the owners, Michael and Norma, and it looks as though I'm going to have the same crew chief so I'm happy. It's an environment I feel comfortable in.
