Tennant not ruling out World Cup medal challenge thumbnailAaron Tennant says his recent form makes him an outside bet for a medal in Australia.

LISCOLMAN bowler Aaron Tennant has backed himself to cause an upset at the World Junior Championships in Australia at the end of March. Tennant will represent his country in the men's singles and mixed pairs and he feels a medal of some colour cannot be ruled out at the event.
He is no stranger to competing on the world stage having previously played for Ireland with much success at tournaments in Israel and Cyprus.
A member of St Colman's indoor team and Ballymoney Bowling Club's outdoor set-up the 24-year-old has also pulled on the green jersey for the European Bowls Team Championships and Atlantic Bowls Championships. "I've played at different competitions - but this is the pinnacle," he said.
“Australia is the hub of bowls. They take the sport very, very seriously over there. It's a competiton where only the world's best bowlers play at.
