Coleraine must learn the lessons of defeat thumbnail

MUCH of the talk in the build-up to Saturday's game centred on how Coleraine's young players would react to the occasion of an Irish Cup final.
In truth, we didn't have to wait too long to find out.
Linfield, fresh from winning a 49th league title the previous week, began like a house on fire, pinning the Bannsiders back into their own half and forcing a number of early corners.
And that set the template for much of the rest of the afternoon, Oran Kearney's side never being allowed to settle by their dominant opponents.
The players appeared nervous, not helped by their opponents' blistering start, and they failed to get any sort of foothold in the game in an attacking sense.
