Coleraine Seconds lose eight-goal thriller thumbnail

COLERAINE Second XI travelled to Belfast to play Omagh Seconds in the Junior Cup Final on Saturday and narrowly lost an entertaining game of hockey.
Omagh - comfortable winners of Junior Four, and playing a couple of leagues higher than Coleraine - the Bannsiders knew it was going to be a tough ask to win.
However, having already defeated teams from both Junior Four and Five on their way to the final every player went into the game very confident.
Once again Coleraine proved to be slow starters and were soon under severe pressure from the Omagh attack, leading to a penalty corner in the second minute and the opening score for Omagh. The pressure mounted and Coleraine found it difficult to get the ball out of their own half and defending deep.
