Presidentís Day win for Terence McFaull thumbnailBushfoot Golf Club Manager Ian Blair welcomed a group from Transylvania Golf Club in Romania over the weekend. Those who made the trip enjoyed a fantastic round, fine food and spectacular views of the Antrim coastline.

A SUPERB round of four over par, worth 44 points, secured Terence McFaull's win on Bushfoot Golf Club's President's Day on Saturday.
The twelve handicapper dropped shots at the first three holes and another on the sixth but steadied himself from there to have 20 points on the board after nine. Another shot was lost on the tenth but that was the final one for Terence as he birdied the short eleventh then rattled off seven pars to get back in level par and pile a massive 24 points on the card to get to 44 for the round.
A big score indeed, but there were others getting close to that. One of them was Roger Hamilton who hit 43 from his handicap of twenty for second place.
His six over par outward nine secured 22 points and Roger maintained that for into the back nine.
He had one extra dropped shot in it as he added 21 to the tally for the resulting 43 return and that was one point ahead of Ronnie Laverty in third place with 42 scored.
Ronnie had a brace of double bogeys on the way out but played strongly otherwise to have 21 points at the halfway stage.
He did get a birdie two on eleven but a blank on the tenth had left too much to do as another 21 points gave Ronnie his 42 total for third. A two under par round of 68 saw Trevor McKendry take the Best Gross award.
He played the short second in two and the third in three while dropping no shots at all over the front nine for a two under par tally of 33.
Trevor's lone bogey came with a four on the short sixteenth and even that was short lived as he birdied the next in three for his level par back nine of 35 to be round the eighteen in 68.
