New signing admits he feared the worst thumbnail Joe McCready scored twice before he was stretchered off towards the end of his Coleraine debut

NEW signing Joe McCready has spoken of the moment he feared his dream debut for Coleraine had turned into a nightmare when he was stretchered off with what looked a serious injury towards the end of Saturday's 2-1 win over Ballyclare Comrades.
“I thought my leg was broke - I've never felt pain like it," admitted the former Limavady Utd striker who was the victim of a terrible tackle.
“X-rays showed severe swelling on my shin bone and I'll know better how bad it is when I see the physio on Tuesday.
“I feared the worst but hopefully it's not too bad and I'll not be out for long."
The injury tainted a memorable afternoon for the 27-year-old who celebrated his switch from the Roesiders with both goals in Coleraine's victory. He has signed a one year deal with the option of a second and admits he is determined to make the most of the opportunity having previously played in the top flight with Institute and Dungannon Swifts.
“I think this is my last chance and I have to make sure to take it," he continued.
