OLLIE McElroy - remember the name.
The Ballycastle schoolboy underlined his huge potential by winning the Gary Player Trophy at Clandeboye Golf Club last week, just the latest success in a memorable year.
The talented eight-year-old's win follows victories in the Masters series in Ulster, Munster and Leinster and marks him down as one of the most exciting talents in Irish golf.
But he was made to fight all the way for his Bangor triumph, recovering from a shaky start to finish in style.
“Ollie started badly with a triple bogey at the third hole," dad Damien explained.
“He recovered well, though, and once he settled down he played well.
“He hit four birdies, a par and an eagle on the last to finish four under for the nine holes, two ahead of his nearest challenger.
