Winning start continues for Ballymoney Firsts

BALLYMONEY'S First XV returned to league action on Saturday with Larne the visitors this time to Kilraughts Road.
With both teams running in tries for fun since the start of the season it was predicted that this was going to be an entertaining game, and despite the poor weather, the game lived up to its prediction with Ballymoney overcoming a nail-biting finish to earn a bonus point win 33-27 and secure another vital five league points in the process.
Ballymoney stormed into the lead within the first five minutes with a try from Andrew Stevenson who was making his First XV debut in the second row. A Thomas Hunter break gained forty metres with his offload dropping into the arms of the oncoming Stevenson to barge over. Cleland made no mistake with the conversion to make it 7-0.
