IT WAS back to Junior Cup action for Ballymoney Firsts at the weekend, with a spot in the semi-finals up for grabs.
In a tense affair Ballymoney booked their place in the last four of the competition by defeating Banbridge 22-6 win.
Ballymoney was largely unchanged from the side that beat Ards the previous weekend, with the exception of Andy Brown who was injured and Michael Allan who was unavailable. Daniel Ramage and Kenny McAneaney both returned.
The game started off at a fast pace with Banbridge keeping the ball and playing to their game plan well with some strong runs from their back row and centres. A knock-on allowed Ballymoney to clear their lines and regain some composure.
