Point to Point races return to Portrush thumbnailPoint to point horse racing returns to Portrush next Saturday (October 28).

PREVIOUS winners have gone on to win on the biggest stage of all at the Cheltenham Festival, making this weekend's Route Hunt Point to Point races a must for leading trainers, jockeys and punters.
And the good news for fans is that the event is making a return to Portrush this Saturday (October 28) with a six race card sure to attract a huge crowd to Loguestown Road.
“Each race will consist of three laps of the course which is about three miles in total and each lap has five fences to be jumped," explained a spokesperson for the organisers.
“There is plenty of prizemoney on offer so hopefully we get decent weather and some fine racing.
“Many horses that have competed and won at the Route Hunt Point to point have gone on to greater things so, you never know, you might see a future star in the making this weekend."
