JUST weeks after packing up his toolbox and heading home from the final round of the World Rally Championship in Australia, Ronan McCrory got the chance to work with another world champion.
And in the motor sport community, be it two wheels or four, champions don't come any bigger or more more high-profile than Italian Valentino Rossi given his incredible achievements in MotoGP.
Like some of his motorbike counterparts he is known to occasionally switch codes with his love of cars seeing him take the wheel of a Ferrari Formula One car and a full-blown NASCAR stockcar.
But his preferred choice is rallying and he has used different cars - including a Subaru Impreza and a Ford Focus - to tackle rounds of the FIA World Rally Championship in New Zealand and Wales.
The thirty eight-year-old has enjoyed reasonable success on both events, but his favourite hunting ground is the Monza Rally Show which is staged in his homeland in early December every year.
