A NUMBER of north Antrim's most promising young hurlers have been named in the 2017/18 Danske Bank Ulster Schools' Hurling All Stars team, announced last week.
Dunloy Cúchulainn's Aaron Crawford has been named at full-back with Ruari Og club man and Cross and Passion Ballycastle student Niall McCormack listed at right half back.
Another Dunloy man, Liam McCann, a pupil at St Louis in Ballymena, is included at midfield while a second Cushendall man, Francis McCurry, a pupil at St. Killian's College Garron Tower is named at right half forward. On the opposite side, St. Louis student and Dunloy forward Ryan McGarry wins a second All Star award after being included at left half forward while the final north Antrim man named is left corner forward Ed McQuillan from the Ruari Og club in Cushendall and a pupil at St. Killian's College.
He is also winning a second All Star award.
This is the 31st year of the Ulster Schools' All-Star scheme which rewards the cream of colleges' hurlers.
