THE route for the Easter Stages Rally will be one of the toughest on this year's Irish Tarmac Championship calendar, organisers have claimed.
Taking place over the weekend of April 6th/7th, the competitive route features twelve closed-road special stages totalling ninety five miles.
Crews from the Tarmac Championship will tackle both legs of the Ulster Automobile Club meeting, which is based entirely in County Antrim.
Those registered for the Irish Tarmac's Modified, Historic and Junior Rally Championships can also score points on the new-for-2018 event.
On the second day of the rally, a National B-type event will follow the main field, with these tests dotted around the Ballymena countryside.
Fans are also being given the opportunity to meet drivers and see the cars at scrutiny; this takes place on April 5 at Sixmile Leisure Centre.
Clerk of the Course, Nigel Hughes, said: "We are looking for a large entry, and lots of spectators, to help make this rally a roaring success.
“The first six special stages are located close to the rally headquarters in Templepatrick and are due to start around lunchtime on Friday.
