Ballymoney Firsts prove too good for Randalstown

BALLYMONEY First XI made the relatively short journey to Antrim Forum on Friday evening to face north Antrim rivals Randalstown.
A bitterly cold night, the visitors began the match in determined fashion.
Richard Fairman's team appeared focused from the opening whistle and they created a number of good scoring opportunities in the opening minutes thanks to hard work from Boyd, Hamilton and Kevin.
Randalstown made a few advances on the break but Ballymoney's defence line of Kirgan, Kearney, Minihan and Kernohan were able to keep any danger at bay.
Ballymoney gradually upped the tempo and it was no surprise when they opened the scoring.
