Knock-out Cup reaches the semi-finals stage

BALNAMORE, Berthas FC, Ballyrashane FC and Portrush Old Boys all advanced to the semi-finals of the Hutchinson Tiles Knockout Cup after Saturday's round of quarter-finals.
Portrush Old Boys saw off Glebe Rangers in the big tie of the weekend while Berthas FC narrowly got the better of Portstewart Town.
Balnamore easily brushed aside The Villagers while Ballyrashane had no trouble seeing off Finn McCools.

Portrush were looking to bounce back after recent poor form against a team pushing for the league title.
The Old Boys began brightly, enjoying the majority of possession and trying to break down the dogged Glebe defence.
Despite both sides creating chances, the match remained scoreless at half-time.
Portrush were again to the fore at the start of the second half and they got their reward when Andy Todd broke the deadlock with a fine finish.
Glebe responded positively to going behind and Ivan Elder equalised shortly after with a fine finish.
