McGlinchey opens up early Championship lead thumbnailEunan McGlinchey currently leads the British Supersport Championship

PROMISING short circuit rider, Eunan McGlinchey, heads into the next round of the Dickies British Junior Supersport Championship as the outright leader.
McGlinchey remains top of the points' standings after another impressive display at Brands Hatch that saw him take a race victory on top of two second-place finishes.
The apprentice mechanic from Aghadowey grabbed a last lap win in the opening event  around the Kent Circuit, beating Elliot Pinson by just 0.07 of a second.
It was Brian Hart who grabbed the opening lap lead on his KTM, but Pinson and McGlinchey managed to move through and by lap eight were able to pull a small gap on the rest of the field.
Trading places throughout the remaining seven laps, it was eventually McGlinchey who took the win on the final corner of the last lap. Hart secured third with Kade Verway fourth.
As it stands, McGlinchey holds a twenty nine cushion over title-rivals Kade Verwey with Matthew Bower a further twenty points off the pace in third.
Reflecting on another hugely successful weekend's racing, McGlinchey said: "It was my first time ever at the circuit. The atmosphere was brilliant and it was such a good experience.
“I was thrilled to be bringing home a first and two second-place finishes which means I have extended my Championship lead going into the third round at Snetterton," he said.
